Horse Transport Prices

Our transport prices are calculated as a round trip from TQ13 unless we are basing them on a shared or return load bases, in which case discounts will be available.

All prices quoted will be fixed prices, with no hidden or extra costs to pay on the day.

All prices are subject to VAT @ 20%

We calculate our prices taking into account:

  • Number of horses
  • Number of miles travelled (round trip)
  • Under 100 miles
  • Over 100 miles

For moves which are local to us there is a minimum charge of £45

We accept payment in Cash, BACS or Debit & Credit card.

Important horse transport information

Does my horse need a passport to travel?

Yes, it is the law in the UK that all registered equines must travel with their passport. This must be an original, copies are not acceptable.

Can I transport my tack and equipment with my horses?

Yes, we have a grooms area with plenty of storage for tack, riding equipment and clothing. If you are moving yards then we are happy to transport all of your yard equipment as well.

Are you insured?

Yes, we hold full care-custody and control, hire and reward and public libility insurance with a specialist equine insurance company.

Are you registered with DEFRA as a horse transporter?

Yes we are fully authorised with DEFRA as a horse transporter, we also hold a City & Guilds WATO certificate of competance for transporting equines by road. All documentation is carried on board at all times.

Do I need insurance?

Goodwin-Equestrian are fully insured to transport horses across the UK, however we do recommend that you have your own horse insurance. If your horse needs veterinary attention the horse owner will be liable for any fees. All horses travel at the owners risk and we cannot accept responsibilities for any incidents which occur unless due to our own negligence.

Do you provide hay and water?

Yes we supply hay and water free of charge on all journeys.
